| Set yourself up for success not failure! |
A nationwide survey found that more than 75% of women between the ages of 25 and 54 make New Year's resolutions to diet all or most years, but nearly 90% of the respondents reported little to no success. Sane Exercise Tips You Can Stick to All Year Set A Realistic Short Term Goal. Everyone has started a new year by saying "I will go to the gym every day, no matter what" or "I will never eat dessert again." People often set no-win goals for themselves, ultimately setting them up for disappointment. Have attainable goals for yourself..ie: no more fried foods and workout 3x a week. Plan Ahead and Get Organized. Simply saying you're going to exercise isn't enough; you have to fit it into your schedule and stick to it. Pencil your workout time into your schedule in advance and treat these times with the same priority you give to your business or other people in your life. Make Your Cardio Short But Frequent. By exercising in short, intense, daily twenty-minute bouts, you burn more calories and keep your metabolism high for longer periods of time. Twenty minutes of exercise done properly can be more effective than a whole hour of unfocused work. |
