January Newsletter

Here we are, a new year and so much pressure to give up everything bad and take on everything good.  Personally, I believe resolutions for the most part do not work when they are made once a year on Decemeber 31st! Being Healthy & Fit is a 365 day a year job.  It is a change in your way of living not just a simple promise to yourself to lose weight.
There is a reason that every gym in the country is packed for exactly 6 weeks starting January 2nd (none of us are healthy on New Years Day!) and cleared out by mid February.  The reason is that when you put so much pressure on yourself to fix everything overnight...IT DOES NOT LAST!
The reason Sanefitness works and has worked for so many of our clients is that the Sanefitness way of getting into shape is not overwhelming or impossible to accomplish.  It is a clearly thought out and easy to follow program that works for so many different people at their individual level of fitness.  Sanefitness is not a quick fix but a way to incorporate fitness into your life all year long!
We have had amazing feedback on our new download, NextLevel, 6 more weeks of more advanced weight training.    Now you can get 12 weeks of progressive routines, logon to www.sanefit.com  for more details and special offers.
Our Newsletters are free for everyone interested in receiving this monthly publication.  If you have signed up recently, please visit www.sanefit.com/newsletter-archive, for free downloadable back copies of all Newsletters to date.

A nationwide survey found that more than 75% of women between the ages of 25 and 54 make New Year's resolutions to diet all or most years, but nearly 90% of the respondents reported little to no success.
Sane Exercise Tips You Can Stick to All Year

Set A Realistic Short Term Goal. Everyone has started a new year by saying "I will go to the gym every day, no matter what" or "I will never eat dessert again."  People often set no-win goals for themselves, ultimately setting them up for disappointment.  Have attainable goals for yourself..ie: no more fried foods and workout 3x a week.

Plan Ahead and Get Organized. Simply saying you're going to exercise isn't enough; you have to fit it into your schedule and stick to it. Pencil your workout time into your schedule in advance and treat these times with the same priority you give to your business or other people in your life.

Make Your Cardio Short But Frequent. By exercising in short, intense, daily twenty-minute bouts, you burn more calories and keep your metabolism high for longer periods of time. Twenty minutes of exercise done properly can be more effective than a whole hour of unfocused work.
