FEBRUARY NEWSLETTER:
With Spring right around the corner (I hope), I wanted to talk about the important combination of exercise AND eating right. Combining an exercise program and a change in day-to-day eating habits is a proven winning recipe for getting into shape. I do not believe in strict diets that deprive you of everything you enjoy. Yes, giving up 100% of your carbs will take the weight off BUT the second you re-introduce carbs to your body, you will gain that weight back. Why deprive yourself in the first place? The key is moderation. It is a very simple formula: You must burn more calories than you eat to lose weight.... Therefore exercise and eating right is the only way to lose the weight and keep it off. In the next section, I have shared some of my favorite snacks to take the edge off when you are hungry between meals or just craving something sweet. Give them a try and never let yourself get overly hungry or you will binge. Making up for skipping lunch and breakfast by eating 3 portions of dinner is not the way to slim down!

| Healthy Snacks for in Between Meals... |
| Instead of that high calorie frozen coffee drink, try some of my favorite energizing snacks to get you through your hectic day... All of these snacks are under 200 calories, a perfect mix of protein, fat and carbs, and they all taste really good! Be careful not to have more than one recommended serving. Even healthy snacks have calories so stick to one serving size.
There are so many choices. These are just a few examples. A cup of tea or coffee will also take the edge off your hunger, not as nutritional as the above snacks but it does work. Happy eating!!! Change it up so you don't get bored! Coming soon to www.sanefit.com |
